Mrs. Angie's Hot list Here are some of my favorite Websites. I think you will enjoy them. Some of them are educational and some are just for fun. Remember the internet can be a wonderful world full of endless information. However, it also contains some things that are inappropriate. Make sure to stick to the links suggested or have a parent with you when you look at other sites. We TALK about the seven wonders of the world, but now you can experience them in 3D - do you even know what they are yet?
NO STINKIN' WAY! Think of ANYTHING! Within 20 questions, it'll tell you what it is...no kidding! I was thinking of a llama
Make your own practice math worksheets. Many of the worksheets we do in class are built using this engine.
Yup...info on Aesop's Fables - pretty cool
They're still building the site, but it's still a cool building structure site for kids interested in buildings and building plans.
How to do art stuff even if you're not good at art. Pictures and demonstrations!
Great instructions on how to build all kinds of stuff and opportunity to see what other kids are building all over the nation! If you're into art or Legos or any kind of creating, this site's for you!
The Cheetah Spot Makes bibliographies/works cited pages a snap!
eh...Apparently THEY think it's cool. I think it's alright.
Not a particularly "fun" site, but an interactive and very helpful diagramming for site for those who don't yet have a strong grasp on diagramming.
Grammar definitions and basic sentence structure information as well as an interactive guide to recognizing parts of speech and phrase/clause identification
Not very educational, and a little bit young, but I'm sure you'll want to check it out if you're a big Disney fan.
Great interactive, informational site about Dr. King, his life, his accomplishments, and his legacy.
Experience the many wonders of science for yourself with this MacroMedia miracle
Really pretty cool. They've got great stuff set up to learn more about the FBI in a fun way!
Fish Calls Really cool physics stuff, much of it having to do with relativity, but also links to other cool sites.
You won't find those just anywhere. PRACTICE 10 times before you perform!!!
This is a science-based website with great stuff to do at home. I like this site so much I use a lot of it in my classroom!
The name says it all - just about anything you can imagine & how it works
Ice Cream & Other Histories You Never Heard Great site about the history of ice cream & links to other even cooler sites about how we got the inventions we just can't live without
Optical Illusions
A few cool fun ideas for at-home experiments
If you like drawing, you need to visit this site. If drawing's not your thing, this site just might change your mind.
Lamplighter Publishers are my personal favorite when it comes to publishers. They are very selective about the books they publish, and although their books are a bit pricy, I've never regretted any of the hundreds of dollars I've spent on dozens of their books over the years. They specialize in re-publishing VERY old literature - the kind that "they don't make like they used to!!!"
...Pretty much
Math Baseball! If you don't like wars, you won't like this site. If you do like wars, this might be interesting to you, but it's way better in person.
GREAT site!!! Games and fun stuff relating to multiplication - you gotta check it out!
The Official Alamo Site I am one, so I'm partial. Everything you ever wanted to know about peanut butter including cool, rare recipes to try at home.
All your favorite characters from all your favorite books. Visit the fan clubs, play the games.
That's right - trying to write a poem? a song? a limerick? Type the word you need to rhyme, and this site will tell you all the possible words to use. P r e t t y T r i c k y! True - this is a science fair site, but I wouldn't recommend trying to pass these experiments through the 5th and 6th grade science fair. However, they're great fun to try when you're bored!
Shel's site in Shel's wacky strange world
Willy Wonka's site. The candy man came through on his website! Cool physics experiments many having to do with relativity
The speeches of one of the most intriguing geniuses in recent history. If you ever want to understand the present, you must look at the past. To understand the past, you must look at the struggle for power called war. To understand war, look to Churchill.
Wolf Mountain
Slimy science - This is my favorite pick - one of the coolest kid sites on the web!
You probably know more than I do about this one - it's PBS's Zoom site. Very colorful; kinda young.
